(olded allusion) It is amazing how long some of those threads go. You get about 2 or 3 answers that sum it all up and then about 40 that say "me too". haiku d'etat 03-03-2005, 10:24 AM It is amazing how long some of those threads go. You get about 2 or 3 answers that sum it all up and then about 40 that say "me too". yeah, me too. HAL9000 03-03-2005, 10:25 AM Me too! Bocephus Jones II 03-03-2005, 10:27 AM Me too! Here's another one. We really ought to have a FAQ!! ;) http://forums.roadbikereview.com/showthread.php?t=25689 I was thinking of replying..."You need a Merlin Agilis, Size 52 with a Selle Italia SLR saddle and Campy Centaur. It will fit perfectly." And then you have the classic "Bitter Mountain Biker that Hates Roadies" troll: http://forums.roadbikereview.com/showthread.php?p=226699#post226699 eyebob 03-03-2005, 10:46 AM Picture the voice of Boomhauer on King of the Hill. Mmm, hmmm. (me too) BT Spunout 03-03-2005, 10:46 AM Hey, you did! You guys are getting nasty now. Best one about the 'roadies never wave' thread was 'maybe they just don't like me'.... HAL9000 03-03-2005, 10:49 AM we have on this subject! pedlfoot 03-03-2005, 10:52 AM we have on this subject! ...me too.yeah. magnolialover 03-03-2005, 11:01 AM ...me too.yeah. Wasn't the bib thread about the 5011th time someone has posted something like that in the past week or so? I seem to see a bibs vs shorts thread about every other day. Sort of like campy vs shimano, whether to wear a helmet or not, iPod while riding, and of course, we just had the troll-o-matic meter go into high gear with the "roadies suck" thread that just popped up. General has become a recycled version of itself over and over again. And the "Racing" threads aren't much better. Seems as though they've had a rash of "what tires should I use?" "what wheels should I use" questions... Hey, dumais, use the ones on your bike, now get out there and ride. Of course, I can't help but reply to some of these, as I have to get my sarcasm out and into the open. atpjunkie 03-03-2005, 11:18 AM I'm asking for your advice but looking for your approval gems http://forums.roadbikereview.com/showthread.php?t=24814 or http://forums.roadbikereview.com/showthread.php?t=24023 KenB 03-03-2005, 11:25 AM I was thinking of replying..."You need a Merlin Agilis, Size 52 with a Selle Italia SLR saddle and Campy Centaur. Spunout 03-03-2005, 11:25 AM I'm asking for your advice but looking for your approval gems http://forums.roadbikereview.com/showthread.php?t=24814 Man, you hijacked that thread, got three other people PM'd, and the ModSquad had to put the whole shop in lockdown mode. You rule. HAL9000 03-03-2005, 11:27 AM a tough monkey to shake. atpjunkie 03-03-2005, 11:32 AM but sometimes ya just can't feed pearls to swine. And was I really all that hateful? haiku d'etat 03-03-2005, 11:36 AM a tough monkey to shake. spank, it's S-P-A-N-K. duh. HAL9000 03-03-2005, 11:38 AM the kids are in the room. atpjunkie 03-03-2005, 11:46 AM shake hands with the bishop. I don't come in here often, but found myself driven in by the "best bottle cage" thread. I couldn't take it anymore. You mean I'm missing a bottle cage thread??? Damn! svend 03-03-2005, 01:38 PM You mean I'm missing a bottle cage thread??? Damn! Ditto the damn!! I knew I was missing too much by not doing the daily perusal....would a free market socialist use high zoot carbon bottle cages or utilitarian stainless... gotta keep it P.O. We are succumbing to the lofty elitism of are own little ivory tower, but dumb is stupid as dumb is dumb. 633 03-03-2005, 01:45 PM You mean I'm missing a bottle cage thread??? Damn! Well, it got pretty technical, what with the intricate detail about bottle cage frame materials. Snakebit 03-03-2005, 01:58 PM Those fools! Worrying about bibs, cages and bike fit when the fate of the world as we know it is being decided here. snapdragen 03-03-2005, 05:23 PM I replied to the bottle cage question. :o I feel like such a dweeb. Will I be drummed out the the non-cycling boards? KenB 03-03-2005, 05:31 PM I replied to the bottle cage question. :o I feel like such a dweeb. Will I be drummed out the the non-cycling boards? My contribution to that thread was going to be: http://www.brewsource.com/Assets/prodimg/311.jpg But I decided against it.... I learned way more about bottle cages than I ever thought there was to learn. ;) 633 03-03-2005, 05:32 PM I replied to the bottle cage question. :o I feel like such a dweeb. I was hoping that this wasn't lumped in there with the "Best Bottle Cage" or "How Much Bling" can I get on my bike threads. I don't think we're much better over here in PO. I know it! OK, just kidding, but yeah, I think we can be judgmental about the same threads getting recycled over and over again. I personally think it's pretty damn funny. And or infuriating. If I responded to everything I wanted to, I'd be the flame master. So I cease and desist, and keep my fingers away from the keyboard for most stuff, as I think about it, because it's probably just some newbie asking the same old tired questions over and over again... It's painful at times. Bocephus Jones II 03-04-2005, 10:07 AM I don't think we're much better over here in PO. I know it! I've posted several times on that one today. I couldn't help myself there. Fogdweller 03-04-2005, 02:05 PM I took heat on the "Cornstarch OK on tubes?" thread. It's taken months for my digital ego to recover. I also made a promise to myself to never post on another chain lube or "best tire" thread. Sheesh, what a waste of ones and zeros... asterisk 03-04-2005, 03:56 PM It's someone else's turn to write a "HEY STOOPID!
