I agree, but if you want new wheels, I like the the Ksyrium Elites and the Campy Zondas (available in Campy and Shimano) at that price level. Everyone here will also recommend odds and endos.

My advice would be to consider a pay of race day only wheels that are very aero and train on the Ksyriums. Zipp 404s used would be a great wheels but probably more like 750 used. Good luck.

In Europe many prefer regular hand built wheels. Only when there's major TV coverage do they switch to manufacturer wheels due to sponsoring obligations.

Other than races like Flanders or Roubaix pros love the trick light aero stuff. The reality is only the Top teams get stuff like this for free so the smaller teams usually run standard built wheelsets.

Kermie, welcome to the site. First let me apologize for the folks that are quick to say 'ride what you. you current wheels are fine for you.' Without any background, I think that's rude. Hey, maybe you're a fast guy, maybe you got the money and want to reward yourself. Whatever. You're asking for buying advice and why not give you a bit.
Let me just say that wheels is the single most important upgrade you can do to your bike. If you make the right choice, you will actually feel the difference. You'll get faster and handle better. Most upgrades, it is very hard to tell the difference. Fitness and experience accounts for most of your speed and handling however so make sure you don't forget that area as well.
Ok, here's the advice. You're a light guy at 130 lbs. and you got good heavy-duty wheels from Mavic that weigh about 1850 grams. I think the two best options for you are:
- American Classic 350s - $600 1350 grams, http://www.amclassic.com
- Dave Speed Dreams Aerohead wheels - $600 1400 grams. http://www.speeddream.com
These wheels are almost 1 lb lighter than yours and they are spec'd and built nicely. There are other options and ther's a comprehensive list available here:

good luck,

I'm sure there are some, but a good number prefer something else. None of the Pro Tour teams can really be considered "smaller" anymore.
