you tell someone you ride a Cannondale and they assume that because your bike is aluminum it is somhow inferior to their carbon frame? Cannondales are extremely light and the most advanced aluminum frames made, sorry for ranting but this drives me nuts.

Yeah, I actually had a LBS tell me that Cannondales have the highest rate of failures with thier frames in the industry. He said that the best frames have made in Taiwan stamped on the front. We know what it means to ride a Cannondale and I am always happy to prove that to them when I drop them on a ride.

I never feel a need to justify my Cannondales. If someone wants to be a snob or an idiot that's their business. The less of them that ride 'Dales the better.

The buzz around cannondale right now is that they have a full carbon frame coming out soon.
I have read it is called the "synapse" and dealers are getting some "show and tell" frames very soon.

There is something about the Aluminum frames that no one seems to be able to duplicate outsitde of cannondale. Quite often the aluminum is lighter than the Carbon, one reason why the seat stays on the Six13 are Aluminum. I really can't see a carbon frame standing out much from the rest of the pack, but I am very interested to see what they come out with.

I hear ya, I love my caad 7, they are masters at aluminum. I would love to see a frame that weighs and handles like the caad 7, but with the ride of full carbon.
