I find the flat section in the drops of the anatomical bars are uncomfortable on my wrists. Am I the only one? I have noticed that a lot of european pros ride with non-anatomical bars.

I have noticed that a lot of european pros ride with non-anatomical bars. MyPeace 03-15-2005, 09:54 AM I've tried them in our LBS. Didn't like the flat part on the top near the stem, but did enjoy the flat part going into the shifters where I spend most of my time. I can't make myself drop $250-$350 the a handlebar. I'm surprise a company hasn't developed attachments to a "regular" handlebar to make it ergonomical. MauryTMWTS 03-15-2005, 10:12 AM Nothing is for "everybody". El Guapo 03-15-2005, 10:19 AM Deda Newton in shallow or deep (Belgian) drops and Ritchey WCS non-anatomic for the 31.8 crowd. Deda 215 shallow or deep for the 25.8's. An old trick for making non-anatomic bars have an anatomic feel was to cut a shim in half (length-wise) and place it anywhere in the lower part of the bend. Then, tape over it with bar tape. Worked like a charm, if that's what you liked. |
