I've just taken the first ride on my new to me almost new 2004 R3000. Electric Blue of course.

Man, what a sweet ride. I know this post is so cliche but I don't care. This bike rides oh sooo buttery smooth compared to my '02 full 853 Jamis Eclipse. Don't get me wrong, I still like the Eclipse but the R3000 just seems to glide along the road. I've only taken it on a short ride. I can't wait for the first club ride in a couple of weeks. I've been training in the winter for the first time and with this new mount I'm feeling strong.

I love how people have arguments about how AL is so unforgiving and jarring. They've never ridden a Cannondale I guess. Oh well, their loss.

Just wanted to share my excitment amongst family. :D

Thanks guys. I can't wait to get it out on the open road and test it in my next race. I've got my bright red Steal Your Face jersey to boot Darkstar. I love wearing that jersey. It just makes me feel happy. :D

The gearing is a little tall for me with the 52/39 11-23 but because of the lack of weight and stiffness it just doesn't seem that bad. Once again, it's that smooooooooooth ride and power transfer that just blows me away.

Enjoy the rest of y'alls week and bring on the sunshine.

Cheers,

Sean
