Freire: Misses saturday's Prijs Vlaanderen for a saddle sore but comes back Sunday to win Brabantse Pijl. After that, he runs away from Belgium (crawling with doping authorities) and goes training in Switzerland.

Reading Jeukendrup, this is classice doper behaviour. He woke up Saturday morning with bad numbers, and had to bail in case of a test. Worked his hydration up Saturday to bring his HCr values down for Sunday, shows up and wins.

I didn't see him wince on the saddle.

I dunno, but it is all just weird.

Now they're saying because of the sore he hasn't trained really the last couple of days and his start in the Ronde is now in doubt.

I'm learning a lot. This story about Friere bears watching.

Thanks all
