Went out with a small group (4) at 10:00 today. After 10 minutes, I realized that I was over dressed. Off came the arm warmers, and off came the knee warmers. There was a nice 15-20 mph wind from the west today. It was about 55 degrees in the greater suburban Chicago area today, so it was great to get out there in bare legs and get in a 40 miler.

Headed out on the XXX saturday ride (maybe 20 total) up to Highland park (a bit further but I can't recall where) at 8:30 am!! It was cold this morn and I was too!! Nice intense early season ride averaging about 26mph with some headwind. By the time I returned to the city my cycloputer was reading 70 degrees and I was boiling up with the sun beating down on me. Nice feeling though, the sun that is, been a while.

Saturday was the same story for me. Started down the lakefront with leg warmers and a light windbreaker. The wind was pushing me pretty good and +20 to 24 mph with little work. I made it down to 83rd street and started to work my way back up north, bucking against the wind (working hard now).
South Shore Cultural Center - Off came the leg warmers
Museum of Science & Industry - Take off the liner gloves while in the saddle
31st Skate Park - Jacket now unzipped
Navy Pier - Still pretty hot but don't want to stop
Belmont Ave - Back of the neck is dripping with sweat
Irving Park Rd - Whewww... almost home
Sunday? (don't tell anybody but I went out for a jog. Shamrock Shuffle is coming up and I don't want to embarass myself too bad)
