According to velonews (http://www.velonews.com/news/fea/7779.0.html) it looks like Dick Pound will be taking up the reigns in July 2005. Apart from the interesting way he's to ascend to the Presidency, what do you all think his impact on the doping issue will be?

I'm uncertain whether he'll be able to work with the management of the various teams effectively enough to impliment the rules that he sees fit.

I'm looking forward to the soap opera that'll start up when he gets the job. I for one, wish him well. I really hope that he can do what he thinks can be done.

That article is an April Fools joke. This is the defination of the writers last name "Farceur"
far·ceur ( fär-sœr ' ) n. One who acts in or writes a farce. A comic; a wag.
[French, from Old French, from farcer , to joke, from farce , farce. I'll admit that the headline fooled me for a couple minutes but it was just too good to be true.
