Anybody using Dura Ace B.B. cups w/ an FSA mega exo crank? I'm considering an FSA
external bearing crank and I need Italian thread. The choice is to get D/A Italian cups or try to special order FSA Italian cups.Has anyone compared the FSA external bearing cups to the D/A? (an old post here claims the D/A can be "stiff" upon installation.)
Thanks!

FSA does not recommend it. How hard can it be to get Italian cups? Maybe try another source.

Excel sports said today that the D/A cups could cause serious problems with the FSA crank; something about the tolerances being a little off, and that it is possible that the crank could be damaged.Excel said they were having problems getting the Italian cups for their Gios frames and they were not too happy with FSA for having short supply of the Italian cups.
I was also wondering the long term durability of the "compression molded" SLK. I have Look Keo pedals which are also "compression molded" and can break quite easily.
The failure reported was hitting a curb while walking the bike...Look replaced the pedal
immediately.
Maybe the new D/A triple due out in May will be a good choice, as long as the crank works well with Campy drivetrain.

All of the FSA triple cranks are compatible with the new outboard bearing ISIS BBs. I've got an FSA Team Isssue carbon and an aluminum Energy triple. When I need new BBs, I can just buy the outboard bearing models.

new info on mega exo isis? Wondering if you might have some new info on the compatibility of Team issue triple and the megaexo isis B.B.? The last time you posted on this subject, there was an issue with the spindle bosses needing to be machined for proper interface between the Team issue triple and the megaexo isis B.B. Also, there may not be enough clearance btween the outboard bearings and the 74mm tabs for the small ring.
Your point of view is always appreciated
