Has anyone done this route? It is 11mi rolling terrain with a 1mi climb. How do I train for this in the next few days?

Not sure how much training you can do in just a few days, but the course is a little different than the way it's presented on the web site. The start is a false flat for a mile or so before you hit the 1 mi climb, so you need to make sure you don't start out too hard. Once you crest the hill and roll down the other side, the rest of the course is rolling, but primarily a slow drop in elevation. You never know what the wind will be doing in the canyon.

I hate that 1 mi climb - I always feel like I should be going up faster than I actually do. It doesn't seem steep so I leave it in the big ring, but I just don't get along with that little hill...frustrates the hell out of me. Probably should start doing repeats up it to conquer it mentally once and for all.
