Dave Hickey 04-05-2005, 10:08 AM March: x Miles x Feet Climbed Year to Date: x Miles x Feet Climbed Highlights? Lowlights? Events and Races? March 679 miles, YTD 1652.. Not bad for me.. 633 04-05-2005, 11:01 AM March 402miles, YTD 713. Had a slow winter after getting hit by a car in late October. Finally back at full speed. New Airborne Torch just arrived 3/31, so April already has 133 miles in and is looking good so far. pedlfoot 04-05-2005, 11:21 AM ...March 360.17 miles. YTD 1176.08 miles. magnolialover 04-05-2005, 11:39 AM ...March 360.17 miles. YTD 1176.08 miles. March: 1100.62 miles. I was a little behind for March. Not sure ytd. bimini 04-05-2005, 12:21 PM I don't know how many miles, probably close to 800 miles in March. Mostly base mileage with only moderate intensity. I don't have a clue on feet climbed, not many mountains here in the windy prairielands, but I did battle a lot of strong winds and some pretty cold temperatures. 3 races with middle of the pack results so far. gray8110 04-05-2005, 12:46 PM March: 1,115 Miles 44,076 Feet Climbed YTD: 3,106 Miles 117,678 Feet Climbed Highlights: I won two out of three TT's in our local spring series and took the overall. I had a decent 9th place at the poorly named "Piece of Cake Road Race" on a horribly windy and wet day up north.Tons of good weather, not a lot of long rides but a lot of rides. Lowlights.. not much. March was a good month. April started with a pretty big downer when I flatted both wheels less than half a mile into a hilly road race. The group just started the first climb as I was swapping wheels - lost two minutes on that change and never saw 'em again. I drove 250 miles and woke up at an ungodly hour just to get to this race :( francois 04-05-2005, 12:51 PM March 402miles, YTD 713. Had a slow winter after getting hit by a car in late October. Finally back at full speed. New Airborne Torch just arrived 3/31, so April already has 133 miles in and is looking good so far. 402 is not too shabby pardner. Nothing like a new bike to help the recovery from an accident. With the time change and all, I think you'll double your YTD miles in April. francois Asiago 04-05-2005, 01:37 PM 333 outside miles for March. Not all that great. But the weather in WI this March was HORRIBLE. Highlights? Not too many cycling-wise actually. I guess the highlight was that on March 31 I was healthy. Lowlights? 1) The weather. 2) Sickness. Was a bad winter in our house. February was dominated by a sinus infection which tunred out to be cake compared to March's Bronchial Infection which absolutely devastated me. As a result, I'm not where I wanted to be fitness wise come April 1. Ah well. Oh yeah, one more lowlight. The WCA set up a new Cat 4/5 Masters field which I thought was going to be great, but instead, we get a bunch on sandbagging former 1/2s. Good grief, what is it with people in this sport? [/rant] AllUpHill 04-05-2005, 02:11 PM March: 481 miles. YTD: 1880 miles. terry b 04-05-2005, 02:13 PM :( :(  Hermit Biker 04-05-2005, 02:22 PM month - 566; YTD - 1,462 Ahead of last year's pace, but tired of the cold and rain/snow. Hope Spring is finally here to stay. psycho_on_bianchi 04-05-2005, 05:14 PM 924 for March, 2542 for the year. No rabbits, no coyotes, no armadillos and no bobcats hit. Just one copperhead and it lived. plus_vite 04-05-2005, 05:38 PM This was, without a doubt, the worst month of March that I can remember. Average temperature was well below normal and it sapped my will to ride. You can only take so much. Took a couple of weeks off. Still, I have a decent base and my weight is under control. Coolest thing I did was attend the National Bike Summit in DC. Didn't ride a bike but I walked all over the place. -PV Juanmoretime 04-06-2005, 01:07 AM March = 185 Running 437 cycling YTD 285 running and 1005 cycling. Feet climbed? Included 1 week of skiing in March, so that had and impact, but the skiing was great! No events, no races, don't know elevation gained. Did get to do a few more group rides than last year, so that was nice. NeedhamDave 04-06-2005, 11:39 AM Mostly, I've been able to get rides in by commuting into Boston. I'm training for a marathon, so lately, I run 6 miles first thing in the morning, then ride my bike 12 miles to work and 12 miles home 2-3 times per week. But it's been too cold for me to want to go on a group ride so far this year, although I've put about 20+ miles on the baby trailer in the past couple weekends. Running: 130/330 Cycling: 190/250 But spring finally sprung, and I've ridden 85 miles already this month. 20 mile run set for Sunday. Next month...going to France for a week of cycling in Provence! aliensporebomb 04-06-2005, 06:29 PM I've got 250.3 miles TOTAL this year so far. My wife's been ill and there's a lot of issues revolving around that, plus working a new job. I'm hoping to really ramp up the miles in the next few months but I feel like such a slug. More later. Hardy Cyclamens 04-06-2005, 07:08 PM I dream about training for the Tour de France, but I'm not. What IS going on though is that I'm riding regularly, swimming regularly. (Coastal Oregon is wet this time of year.) I get out in the weight room regularly. My weight is coming down, and I'm eating better. Blood pressure is down. OK, so that's not huge compared to training for racing, but it beats to death the sitting in the Lazy Boy, watching TV and drinking, drinking, drinking. Old fart here, 57 this month. With the money I save on alcohol, I bought a bike, Trek 1500 -- and some Bontrager wheels. This forum helps keep me motivated too . . . Thanks for that! :D MisterMo 04-06-2005, 08:20 PM March 616 YTD 1,400 and change They're all good but some are .......dryer.......than others Folsom_Blues 04-06-2005, 08:56 PM 525 miles 1,109 ytd looking forward to a high mileage April.
