Memorial Ride Saturday for Matt Kelly

We are gathering for a memorial ride for Matt Kelly on Saturday at 9AM in Heritage Square. As his friends, colleagues, or simply fellow cyclists, the ride will honor Matt's passion for life and cycling and our collective grief and frustration in dealing with this horrible loss. We all share with Matt the love of cycling even in the face of our vulnerability. This mass ride is meant to express this gut-felt sentiment to Matt's family and to the community as a whole. Matt's wife Brenda has been consulted about the event and is deeply moved by our support.

We strongly urge everyone to attend. We will ride with a bike police escort from Heritage Square, past the Kelly's home, and on to the accident site on Cedar Ave where we will observe a moment of silence.

A bank account for the Kelly's unborn child has been set up at the Arizona State Credit Union under "Brenda Kelly #4500513171" and we will also collect donations at the ride.
