I took my new Redline on some singletrack today and was unpleasantly surprised when I came off the back of the seat to drop into a dry river bed and hung up trying to get back into the saddle. I practically castrated myself trying to force my way back over the seat. There's just a slight break at my knee on the down stroke, If I lower my seat that would'nt be correct form. Is there a simple solloution to this besides lowering my seat before going trail riding? Anyone else out there notice this on their cross bikes?

Nope. Think about it. If the trail is tech enough that you need to get behind your saddle, is a "road geometry" applicable? Can you get behind the saddle of your road bike without compressing delicate bits to get back?
