There are several ads for road bikes posted in the MTBR classifieds. I'm sure most of you here aren't naive enough to fall for these, but you just never know. I've already alerted MTBR about it so hopefully they'll be cancelled. Here are the ads in question:

http://classifieds.mtbr.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/classifieds.pl?db=MtbReview&website=MtbReview&language=&session_key=&search_and_display_db_button=on&results_format=long&db_id=86990&query=retrieval
86990 - A $7000 Ti Litespeed Ghisallo w/ Dura-Ace for $680!

http://classifieds.mtbr.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/classifieds.pl?db=MtbReview&website=MtbReview&language=&session_key=&search_and_display_db_button=on&results_format=long&db_id=86988&query=retrieval
86988 - A Seven Axiom Ti for $500!

http://classifieds.mtbr.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/classifieds.pl?db=MtbReview&website=MtbReview&language=&session_key=&search_and_display_db_button=on&results_format=long&db_id=86919&query=retrieval
86919 - Merlin Ti road bike for $325

http://classifieds.mtbr.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/classifieds.pl?db=MtbReview&website=MtbReview&language=&session_key=&search_and_display_db_button=on&results_format=long&db_id=86914&query=retrieval
86914 - S-Works E5 road bike for $325

http://classifieds.mtbr.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/classifieds.pl?db=MtbReview&website=MtbReview&language=&session_key=&search_and_display_db_button=on&results_format=long&db_id=86912&query=retrieval
86912 - Vintage Cinelli road bike for $350

Now granted, I don't have any PROOF that these are scams, but come on, a Dura-Ace equipped Ghisallo for $680? And in a couple of the ads he's from the state of NY, in the country of Romania.

this looks like a fantastic deal. I live in NYC near
midtown. I would love to see the bicycle, but if that
is not possible I could just pay you by paypal and
pick it up in person.

I would need the bicycle immediately as I am going
away on business on wednesday 27th and would like to
take it with me.

thank you for selling it to me, Jay

Yeah, I was going to email him also, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm sure he'll probably ask for payment through Western Union. Let me know what his response is.

I am not familiar with Western Union or Bank Transfer. Could you tell me what this is? If you give me your address in NYC where the bicycle is I could bring you cash or a cashier's check, but my prefered method is paypal.

thank you for holding this bicycle for me. I can't wait to see it in person in NYC. It is exactly what I've been looking for.
