I'll be touring BC in June and am considering riding this portion of the KVR trail. How bicycle friendly is this segment and in what condition is its surface?

My bike is set up for credit card touring (700 x 32 tires with a Carradice saddle bag) -- are the demands of the KVR too much for what is essentially a roadie setup? And since there will be no camping on this outing, is it overly optimistic to plan to cycle this segment in a single day?
