Hi All

I am building some wheels up and, using Mike T's advice, will be using anti-seize on the spoke/nipple interface.

Is there any functional difference between the copper based and aluminum based anti-seize types? Is there any preference for one over the other in this application?

I'm using stainless spokes with brass nips (CX - Ray for both)

Thanks Charlie

For bicycle applications, grease works just as well as anti seize. There's not enough differences in anti seize types to worry about. I've built wheels with greased threads and they are still easy to turn after 10 years and 10s of thousands of miles. Grease, anti seize, spoke prep, linseed oil - it all works.

Thanks Kerry, that sounds like sound advice, and very quick too!!

No doubt any minute now there'll be another message on a metallurgical basis that will make me change my mind...

Thanks everyone
