Well, DFW is a big area. Depends on where you are. I'm on the Tarrant County side, so I'm most familiar with that.

There is a reasonably fast Tuesday/Thursday night ride leaving from Bikes Inc. in Bedford. http://bicyclesinc.com/site/page.cfm?PageID=16. Goes up into Roanoke, Grapevine and back down into Bedford. Usually splits into several groups depending on speed.

Fort Worth Cycling on the West side has a Thursday morning 6:30 AM ride. Have friends who ride with FW Cycle, but it's too far from me, so I've never ridden with them.

I'm not aware of anyone organizing it, but I think there's usually a group out at Benbrook Lake on Thursday nights. Haven't been out there in a few years.

Mad Duck in Grapevine also has Thursday night MTB group rides.

No personal experience with it, but on the Dallas side, Greater Dallas Bicyclists (http://www.greaterdallasbicyclists.com/webcalendar/month.php?&year=2005&month=05) lists an easier-paced ride leaving from Mesquite on Thursdays.

I'll actually be by DFW Airport. The ride from Bicycles Inc will be perfect - probably won't be able to get the bike down there with me this upcoming week, but when I start my weekly trips there, that ride will be ideal - thanks!
