Does anyone have a Trek 1200 (circa 2003 or newer) with real fenders? Is there enough clearance? I'm trying to figure out if this would be a viable bike to equip for rain/wet roads.

SKS RaceBlade fenders don't need much clearance. They don't need eyelets on the frame & fork either. They work pretty well.

River City in Portland, OR sells a set of brackets that lets you split a full fender set to mount on a road bike. They will give you more fender coverage than the blades.
