I will be traveling to St. Louis for business in a few weeks. Since I am driving there I had planned on bringing my bike with me. Does anyone know of any good areas to ride? I am not sure about when my free time will be so I most likely will not be catching any group rides and will be riding by myself.

Depends on your taste. If you like hills, West County (esp. Wildwood) is where its at. If you prefer the flats go over to Columbia IL and ride the levee road. Both areas have good surfaces and relatively little traffic. Or you can ride anywhere along Clayton Road from Forest Park out to Wildwood - moderately rolling terrain and good surface. It's a busy road, but the motorists along there are used to seeing cyclists. There are lots of other good areas, too, but not knowing the area is a bit of a handicap for picking a route through them.
