Am replacing a steel fork on a Zurich with carbon and have been told by LeMond's customer service that any fork with a 1" steerer and a 43 or 45 degree rake will work.

I see current Zurichs are spec'd with 45 degree rake carbon forks. Any thoughts on advantages to a 43 or a 45 degree rake? Thanks.

The 43 will be a little more "stable" since it will give your bike more trail. I doubt you'll notice a big difference.

Rake is a linear dimension, measured in millimeter or centimeters. What frame size and model year is your Zurich? According to a 2002 geometry chart, rakes of 43 and 47mm were used, depending on the frame size.

The smaller rake will make the bike steer a bit slower and the larger rake will make it steer a bit quicker.
