so i built up this rear wheel and i finally mounted it to my new frame. i new the dish was off, but to too bad. it looks as it it might be 1-2mm closer to the non-drive side.
how bad is this? is 1-2 mm gonna throw off the tracking and stability of the bike? should i rebuild, taking extreme care to dish the wheel exactly?

should i rebuild?
Rebuild? Just slack off all the spokes on one side a ¼ turn and tighten the same amount on the other side. If it's not enough then repeat. It would be a ten minute job at best.

...agree with the previous poster. Assuming your tension is perfect as it is right now, back off on one side and take up the slack on the other. It's worth the effort and it's not really all that difficult to get dish much closer than even 0.5mm

thanks guys! back to the truing stand she goes. i guess you are right, it is best to do it now, and should only take 10 minutes or so. i need to check the tension again anyway.
