At what point does an old post become locked on this forum? It seems that if someone responds to a 2 or 3 week old post it is posted right back up at the top (at least in the mode I am viewing). It seems after a few days the posts should RIP and be closed.

Bringing an old post to the top of the list is like seeing your old high school sweetheart 20 years later in Walmart. It just isn't the same.

"locked" is actually the thread moving to the top of the list when a new post is made. this (i think) is simply your method of viewing the forum and can be changed in your preferences. i have nothing to do with these moving to the top.

"sticky" otoh is my doing. posts are made sticky when they either exemplify the forum's character/attitude, or are very active re: views and responses.

this thread is being moved to site suggestions/feedback.

feel free to email or send a private message my way.

thanks!

"Locked" on this forum actually means, that a moderator or administrator has closed a thread so that it cannot be replied to anymore. Prime candidates for locking are any thread that gets replies that add nothing to the discussion, and only attempt to "bump" the thread back to the top.

You do have the ability to sort threads by latest topic, as well as the default latest post (reply). Unfortunately, this setting is not cookie-able, so you will have to click the heading to sort-by latest topic for each session.
