NEWS RELEASE
For Immediate Release

Traveling 585 miles is a haul. Doing on a bike is a respectable accomplishment. Doing it to support HIV and AIDS prevention, education and awareness organizations and those who serve people affected by the illness is more than worthwhile—it’s necessary.

That’s why on June 5th, when 1800 cyclists take to the road and pedal from San Francisco to Los Angeles, Cannondale will do its part in helping them make good on their promises. With the assistance of Mikes Bikes of San Francisco and Helen’s Cycles in Santa Monica, Cannondale will offer Demo bikes to participants that are interested and provide support with mechanical failures along the way.

Aids Lifecycle is the official cycling event of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center. It’s about HIV & AIDS, and about raising money to help the beneficiaries continue to provide the critical services and education needed to meet the growing needs of our community.

“Everyone, in some form or another, is affected by AIDS and HIV. It’s an honor for Cannondale to provide a level of support to anyone who chooses to ride a bike for such an important cause,” says David Budd, Director of Marketing at Cannondale.

Siemen’s/Cannondale hall of fame racer Tinker Juarez will also make the trip riding his team equipped Cannondale Six13. Tinker states “It’s no secret that I love to ride my bike long distances, so when given a chance to do it for such a great cause I was honored to be apart of it. “

The AIDS Lifecycle ride will start on Sunday, June 5th in San Francisco and ends on June 11th in Los Angeles. For more information on how you can support the efforts of these courageous cyclists go to:
