This is what the first Gios Torino's that came to the States in 1974 looked like. Cortina Cycles on the West side in New York were the importer at the time. The first one I saw was at a criterium in Franklin Park, yeah that's Boston, in 1973 and I had to have one. Mine was bought in early 1975.

This one's in primo condition considering it's age. The de Vlaeminck bend on the bars are actually Cinelli 65's, actually called the Criterium model. In truth, the Super Record stuff came later on if it really is a 1973.

The white, red, chrome and black finishes came later along with the medallion's in the crown.

The picture was from a brochure they sent me in 1974 and which I later sent to Classic Rendevous who performed some digital magic.

that is a pretty clean bike on ebay. this is the second or third time they tried to sell it but it gets no bids. i think they have the opening bid too high but it's their call.
