Im on team SilverStreak this year. It never has been any sort of race, its just 10,000 people on bicycles riding from one beer tent to the next. trek5900cyclist 02-09-2004, 11:25 AM i stated that in the parenthesies. I just put it under racing because there is no discussion page called Beer Fest Rides 2004 bimini 02-10-2004, 06:58 AM Not sure if I will do the whole thing or just part of it. Depends on if we want to take a whole week off. If I do a part of it I will just put a pack on the bike like last year and join up with Ragbrai in central IA, follow it to the end and ride home again. I got some odd looks riding the pacelines with 50 pounds of gear strapped to a luggage rack on the back of the bike. juan antonio 02-27-2004, 03:07 AM I think I'll ride the first and maybe the second day. Then head back to Omaha. Gus Riley 02-27-2004, 06:51 PM Yep, sent my check in already and signed up with the Out of Staters (OOS). Looks to be a good ride this year. The overnight and inbetween towns have been announced and the GeoBike options are also available for study. Enjoy your ride! Dave_Stohler 02-27-2004, 11:57 PM Ummm.....hate to break it to you, but it's not a race. This is probably the best description of RAGBRAI I've heard. |
