Performance carries a reasonable selection, for reasonable prices.

Sugoi also makes kids bikewear. And supposedly PI will starting next year. If you happen to be in the Boulder, CO area, I own a shop that stocks the Sugoi kids stuff! 720-564-1300! S

BNA_roadie I always get a kick out of any thread that has the word Kid in the title. I know that I can open it to find a picture of you boy and his bike.

I'm not complaining at all. I truly enjoy looking at it and know that you must be a great dad.

If I was up with the digital age my two would be in there as well.

Check out Mountain Equipment Co-op in Canada. They make terrific kids stuff and are very reasonably priced.

I know and have been thinking of strarting a 12 step group for it. I'm just proud of my boy, we did a 40 mile ride a few weeks ago, he did not whine once! If I had started an exercise regime at his age, I'd have alot less headache now!

Hopefully next spring he will join a local junior development team, he will be 10 and can race.

Mom ran over his beater bike 2 weeks ago and I told him I'm not replacing it. Oh, did he cry. We went to our LBS yesterday so he can get an idea of how much money he would have to save to replace it. Lets see, a $250.00 Haro or $800.00 Scott, ummmmmmmm.

He asked for lots of extra chores!

BNA,

Good work on getting your son going at such an early age. My 8 year old daughter is begging for a road bike for her birthday. We've been trying to find a good fit and considering the Orbea. We live in a smaller community where bike shops wouldn't think of stocking such an item. For comparison, I was wondering how it fit your son and how my daughter might measure up. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Now for a little Father's Day bragging. Last year at 7 she did a 30 mile charity ride on her 20" mountain bike; so I think she's ready physically. She was hurting, but no whining.

Once again, thanks and congrats.

Max started riding his Orbea at age 7, a liitle big, but not bad. I don't know his inseam, but he is not a big boy, unlike his daddy. The Orbea has adjustable reach levers and low gearing, as not to blow the little knees out.
