Looking at both of these bikes - anyone have any thoughts on one over the other? (or other bikes in the same price range that I should be looking at?)

I have a Giant OCR 2 and it is a great bike for its price. the bike is exactly the same as OCR 1 only difference is fork and drivetrain.. still the way the OCR climbs is excellent and it accelerates really quick because of the geometry of the bike. the compact road frame from Giant is great for climbing and for people who are shorter. not to mention the aerodynamics on it are great compared to the trek.

Now for about the same price as both of the others is the Orbea Aspin. I also have an Orbea Volata which is a step up from the Aspin but i have ridden the Aspin. Its probly the best bike for the price range. its aluminum main triangle and CARBON seatstays. something the other bikes dont have this is a great ride and i recommend looking at it .

Look at the LeMond Tourmalet. It has pretty much the exact same group. It is a compact frame, if you're in to that.
