Just saw an ad placed today on this site for a new ( 200 miles) 5.9 Madone for $ 1500, I E-mailed the seller who answered that it was available. I replied that I would like to talk to him on the phone about it. He replied that he had no telephone and everything had to be done via E-mail.....Red Flags for sure. His ad shows that he is in los Angeles so I offered to drive over to check it out. He replied that he is in london,, Just a heads up for everyone.

I had the same thing happen to me, I emailed this person and they would not give a phone number or very much info. Be careful with to good to be true ads.

Maybe it is stolen ;)

You should of asked him how you'd complete the transaction if he's in London.

Tell him you want to ride TODAY.

I also encountered another scam for a Madone 5.9 for $1,800. I e-mailed the guy asking for his phone number and he replied that he just had a tracheotomy and was still recovering so he couldn't talk on the phone. How stupid can these people be?
