Good morning folks:

Apparently it isn't too good of a morning for some people. I'd say having a minivan crash into your house and take out your stoop is enough to give you a bad morning. This genius actually ran over a metal street light before doing so. *thumbs up!*

Believe it or not, this is the third time I've seen this exact same accident. The hood section of my commute is usually pretty exciting; like this morning for example. This happened at 7:15am. The guy was put into a "bamalance" and he was still slurring drunken profanities while they strapped him down. Nice guy!

Just thougth I'd post a little of what Baltimore has in store if you're gonna be commuting through the hood.

Stay safe,
Arby.

A bunch of pictures I'll send to the Baltimore Sun in a few minutes:

hmmm, methinks you might find the riding a bit less exhilarating in Boulder. Worst you gotta worry about here is dodging the hippies. Or mebbe a mountain cat thinking you'd be yummy kitty food on a MTB ride.

I agree with Hjalti. The irony of the Seagrams' billboard is not lost.

Where were these taken in relation to stuff I'd recognise, or was this closer down on the southside by your orifice?

I didn't really want to take you through that section of Balto. It's pretty bad in the afternoon/evening... and night time: forget it.

If we set off on an early ride (yeah right!) next time you come here, maybe we can zip through that area, but there's not a lot to see besides dead rats, trash in the streets, abandonned cars/houses and people pushing shopping carts down the street trying to sell what's in them (usually a tv or a microwave).

:] Can't wait to come back can ya?

Funny.
You said you have seen this happen 3 times - in the same location? From the pictures, I can't see how that would be a problem for a driver. It's a straight road, fer cryin out loud!

On the other hand, near my workplace there is a steep downhill intersecting with a one-way street that runs left to right. Cars come flying of the freeway and down the hill, prepare to turn left, realize they are going the wrong way, and try to correct. Because of their speed they sometimes can't negotiate the turn, then run into the corner of the building on the far left corner of the street.
No Seagram's sign to distract them here, so it's just stupid driving, pure and simple. I'll have to snap a picture of it the next time I see a car crumpled into the side of the building.

Not all in that exact location, but honestly, within a 5 block radius. I've ridden to work and seen cars off the road and hung up on front stoops 3, count em' 3 times! Dazed people walking around the car... airbags all hanging out...

Only in Bmore.

Be careful which member of the media community you send these to... some may try to turn you into the villain! It's a poorly-kept secret that distilled spirits fuel many a journalist.

Hey MB1,

I never got around to sending them. This whole work thing gets in the way entirely too much!
