OK, so I've finally gotten around to posting some pictures I took this past spring. It was a beautiful morning with a chill to the air. Starting off in South Arlington, here we go...

Starting off down the hill towards Shirlington on a road that runs parallel to 395, heading north...

Approaching Shirlington with the WETA public television building on the right...

Crossing the pedistrian bridge over 395. Take a look at the traffic heading towards DC...

Passing through a residential area called Park Fairfax making my way towards the Four Mile Run Trail...

Your typical MUT with Four Mile Run on my right (out of picture)...

Four Mile Run dumps into the Potomac just south of National Airport. Here I am approaching the Airport with US Rt. 1, railroad tracks, Metro tracks, and the GW Parkway above...

Now I'm on the Mount Vernon Trail heading north with the GW Parkway (more traffic) on my left...

Trying my hand at an artsy-fartsy shot...

National Airport on my right...

Continuing north with the Washington Monument on the horizon...

If I'm unable to ride in I always take Metro. I've never driven to work (can't fathom paying $16 a day)...

Crossing the 14th St. Bridge from Virginia into DC...

Rosslyn, VA with the Potomac in the foreground...

It's been almost four years (since 9/11) since they put these "temporary" barriers in place around the Jefferson Memorial...

Approaching the Washington Monument...

This is the only shot taken while not riding and I must say I like the way it turned out...

The US Mint ahead on the right...

Crossing Independence Ave...

Waiting to cross Constitution Ave (by the way, the light is about to change and these cars ain't movin', they block the damn box every time)...

Heading up 15th St. with the famous Willard Hotel on my right...

The US Treasury on the left...

Approacing H St. I work in the building on the left...

My bike locked up in the loading dock area (which gets very little traffic and has a security camera)...

Heading down on the freight elevator...

Passing through the mechanical room...

Finally arriving in the fitness center locker room ready to shower, dress, and get to work...

Don't know what happened to the first two pictures so there they are...
