Hi, My girlfriend I are looking at a 1 week Bike tour in one of the soutwestern states (cali, arizona, new mexico etc). We are from Canada and do not know where we should go. We have our time off in October so nice weather is important. We are both roadies and mountain bikers who ride on average 150-200 miles/week.This trip is definately going to be a road ride ~ 50-70 miles/day. GABA is probably your best option in October.

The prettiest rides in NM are in the mountains, but Oct is getting late for that kind of thing.
You might try southern NM too
