Partnership adds to company's growing cycling apparel & accessories business

(July 22, 2005-Bethel, CT) Cannondale Bicycle Corporation, a world leader of high-performance bicycles and cycling apparel announced today that it has reached an agreement in principle to a global partnership with Diadora Invicta S.p.A. Diadora is a leader in innovative athletic footwear. The transaction comes on the heels of last week's announcement that Cannondale has acquired Sugoi Performance Apparel.
Established in 1948, Diadora is located in Caerano di San Marco, Montebelluna- Treviso, in the Veneto region of northern Italy, the unofficial capitol of footwear technology where Italian craftsmen have perfected athletic footwear of all types through the decades with revolutionary inventions. The Diadora brand is renowned for its use of innovative technology to achieve a superior ergonomic fit. Cannondale, which was founded 1971, shares Diadora’s passion for premium craftsmanship and forward-thinking innovations. The partnership will include exclusive distribution rights of Diadora cycling footwear in the North America and Japan markets. In addition, Cannondale and Diadora will co-brand cycling shoes in Europe. The partnership begins with the introduction of cycling footwear for the Spring/Summer 2006 season.
Both companies are familiar with one another since they are both sponsors of the Lampre-Caffita cycling team and the #1 UCI-ranked cyclist for 2004, Damiano Cunego. The agreement continues to expand the growing apparel and accessories offering under the Cannondale umbrella. "This agreement is a natural fit for us and complements our product offering," said Matt Mannelly, President of the Cannondale Brand. "We share the same passion for collaborating with champions to engineer great products that can be offered to cyclists worldwide."

On July 25th 2005, Diadora-Invicta S.p.a. announced that it had reached an agreement in principle to a global partnership with Cannondale Bicycle Corp. The partnership, which starts with the introduction of the SS 2006 Collection, will include exclusive distribution rights of Diadora cycling footwear in the North America and Japan markets. Cannondale will be the sole distributor, after November 30th 2005, with rights to sell Diadora cycling footwear in North America and Japan. Diadora looks forward to its new partnership with Cannondale, as both companies share a commitment to performance cycling products.
