Y'all remember the story a week ago about the vintage Eisentrauts? Steve-o hooked me up with the lovely Michelle who was selling a couple bikes her husband had not used until he passed away from some illness.
So I called up Eisentraut to find out info on the two bikes, and he shares what he knows, he remembers the bikes, remembers the guy, etc... He was surprised to learn the guy had died- he didn't even know the guy had been sick.
So, I'm over at Rolands last night (Della Santa) sucking down a slug of Lagavulin when Roland tells me this story....
"Eisentraut called me the other day, he says the guy's not quite dead."
"Huh?" I reply
He then goes on to tell me the story about the not quite dead guy and Eisentraut were apparently ex business partners and it appears the lovely Michelle may have been mistaken about her man being dead.
This smacks of a punchline to one of those stories you here about the ex selling the mans stuff out of revenge.... (or whatever) I'm fascinated by the ironies here- and also how small the world must be when the principle characters all know each other. Now I'm holding my breath for the knock on the door and some angry 300 pound ex wanting his bikes back... sheesh
