I posted this question before but i am still worried. Are carbon forks supposed to bend when tightening the quick release lever because mine did. I have a scott with a cr1 fork and it bends about 7mm inwards whenever i tighten the quick release lever. Is this normal?

Sounds like the fork legs are splayed out which created extra spacing where the hub fits. While not ideal, a little extra clearance is no big deal. I'd say that 7mm is a little extreem but nothing to worry about.

Hope this helps.

scotts carbon forks [along with about 100 others] are made by Martec and are perfectly sound. the spread is no big deal, as long as centered -- your wheel of course must be centered -- and the fork legs must be same length [if not -its a defect]

but probably the spread is totally nothing
