the new Blowtorch taillight isn't possible to use when using it correctly, and there isn't any other way to use it sans duct tape.
I bought it because it uses a simple quick release attached to the seatpost, but the light sits off to the side and there's no way to use it without really rubbing your leg against it. If I went 3 hours with it I'd have a new bike injury. I cant imagine how anyone could use this thing. waste of time. I'll be fuked if I'm driving all the way back to performace for my 10. no wonder it was on sale so cheap.

I've been a customer for at least 20 years, but a few years ago I just about quit shopping there because I got a run of things that were all but unusable due to poor design or lack of thought. Only one that comes to mind is a pair of shorts that had a polyester tag apparently melted onto the fabric of the liner. It had sharp edges from being cut with some kind of heated tool. On even a medium-long riide it would rub the skin raw, and it couldn't be removed, because it was fused to the liner. I returned it and got a replacement, and the new one did the same thing. Duh.
