yep finally after 3.5 weeks of owning my first road bike i did my first 40+ (41.03 to be xact)
it was windy and hilly and horrible but i loved every second of it anyway....
it took 2:22:45 (ave'd 17.25) with no breaks. which i think is very good due to conditions and the fact that i quit smoking after 10 years last week...

It may not sound like much to many on this forum but it is a pretty big achievement for 99% of us here in the US of A

Congratulations on the ride!
And even more so, congratulations on quitting smoking and working to improve your health. That is a monumental achievement.

i have two water bottles and i fill each up 1/4 poweraid 3/4 water.. ate two snickers marathon bars along the way...these thing are ok, but sometimes i wish i had something alittle easier to get down
