I know this is a entry lvl bike, but if you look at my other post you will see that this will be my first bike.
Should be able to pick up anyone of them for under $450...
Anyone have one of these, or have a an opinion???
Should I worry about the STI ???
Thanks

From your other thread it appears that you would want a frame larger than the 62 that the mirage can provide.
Even though you don't want to spend much on your first road bike (good idea), if it does not fit well you will not be happy.
Will you have a chance to ride the Mirage first? If not you should as a absolute minimum call the company and talk with them about the purchase. This is even more important when you are not very experienced. Then again it should be considered a must with any larger transaction.
How many LBS have you been able to visit to date? Go to as many as possible even if they don't stock bikes in your price range.
No matter what at least call and talk before you make the purchase.
Good Luck and let us know how it turned out.
And yea STI is a must!

3 LBS they each informed me that every frame is diffrent. 2 Trek shops as if I even had the money for one of them ,but they were very helpfull. I called Motobecane/Bikesdirect to find out that I would actualy be better with a 62cm frame???
I also understand that the Shimano sora STI are not very good in quality.
I was informed today at the LBS to keep my eye out for a used 105 bike. That would be my best bet???
Thanks again

If you get a chance could you post their phone number for me? I can't seem to find it on their site and I was hoping to chat with them.
Thanks
