I just got a pair of Tufo C Elite's and am anxious to get them installed on my open pros. They came with instructions, but I thought I'd ask here to see if there are any tricks I should know about to ease the process.

Thanks in advance.

Dude...your thumbs will never forgive you. For me, it was rough, but I got the hang of it.

Try searching in this forum (I know search hasn't worked much, but if you search a specific forum, it works every once in a while).

They roll great. Try to stretch them a bit if you can. Once you get one side in all the way around, my technique consisted of pulling up on the side that was in (with your fingers) and pushing down on the other side (with you thumbs) as you go around the tire.

Picture both hands gripping the tire with fingers on one side and thumbs on the other and then work your way around it.

Good luck. JT

here's instructions and videos showing how to do it. It gets easier with practice:

On a sunny day, leave them on the hood of your car to heat them up. That'll soften them so you can stretch them easier.

heat 'em up, stretch them a bit, and then follow the instructions. Once you get the hang of it, it's easy, and the 'cross tires are way easier to install then the road tires.

Thanks guys. I read the instructions and followed them to the letter. Had to let a bit of pressure out of the tire, but otherwise, installation was a breeze. Maybe 10 min per tire.
