Ok, I just made the switch from MTB to road so it is time to start learning how to be a WW with my road bike. So how does one pick tires? With the MTB it is simple, use the fastest rolling lightest weight tires that have large enough knobs not to slide out in corners. But what about road tires? There is no tread so where do I start? I currently have bontrager race lites. They seam fine, but I just can't stop the weight weenie in me from coming out and wondering if lighter would be better. Please help! :D

Depends on conditions were you ride. Light tires accelerate a bit faster but tend to punture more often as well as wear out quickly. I ride very lite clinchers with very few flats (one this year) but my riding buddy tried the exact same tires and had both go flat on his first ride and we both weigh the same. As in mntn bike tires you will find that softer "sticky" rubber grips better but wears faster. I would as a general guide line say you are better off using the lite tires for race day and training on something with a bit more meat.
