im thinking about moving to brownsville tx when i retire from navy.. anyone know how bike friendly that area is?

Brownsville? Why? I don't know that it's particularly bike friendly or unfriendly.

i couldn't find a club or shop listed on the internet. Not sure how bike friendly the area is, but considering it's near the mexican border i wouldn't think the area has many people who think about cycling as much as they think about making a living.

Lived in the Rio Grande Valley (Harlingen) for 5 years. Not that they aren't bike friendly, but very erratic drivers and not many people have insurance. Also, it is very flat and very windy all the time. I thought about moving back but I know if I do, my bike will probably collect dust because I would be too scared to ride down there.
