One of my co-workers is a cycling enthusiast and recently built up his Dave Moulton Fuso FR1. He's the original owner and left this nice steed for a Merlin some time ago. A little talk about old steel frames and the nostagia started building. Here's the finished product after swapping over parts from his Merlin.
From what I understand the Fuso was Dave Moulton's "production" frame with standard geometry. He's a writer now and no longer producing custom frames...
Thought the forum would enjoy the picts....

Handsome bike, seat stay color break looks a little non stock, may be my memory. I have a Moulton, but it is labeled as a Masi, built by him in San Marcos.

If anyone wants a screaming deal on a Moulton frame, look for a Moulton-built John Howard bicycle. Recently on eBay, one did not reach the reserve price. Top bid was mid-$400s. You can pick one of these frames up CHEAP!
Note that there are also Tesch-built John Howards out there which are also selling far below the market price for a "normal" Tesch.
Have fun,

It is out of my price range, but Cyclart has an absolutely gorgeous NOS Fuso that is full Dura Ace. # 7644 for those interested.

I test rode a John Howard back in the 1980's. Hated it! Hated it! It seemed designed for one purpose only - to be ridden all day and all night in a straight line. Extremely comfortable, and very beautiful to look at, but it handled as if it were being ridden in a one-inch wide ditch.
