Anyone know why it takes nashbar so friggin' long to get their orders in the mail? These guys sit on web orders for 2 or 3 days before they hit the post office. I've been using nashbar for 10+ years and it seems it's been worse the last couple years than ever before...used to be if you got your order in by noon they'd ship it the same day.

I've not had any problems with 3 orders in the last 6 months. They are still my favorite online retailer, though lately I've found that my LBS can beat them on some stuff, so I've been sending more business that way.

Wait until you send something back. My last return sat on their dock for two weeks. - TF

If you are doing the cheapest shipping option (ground) then Nashbar and Performance both take forever to ship, but if you do 2day shipping it ships out the same day if ordered before a certain time or next if after that time. I've only had them miss that time frame once and I called and was refunded the shipping difference.

I've made multiple orders at CC, Excel and Nashbar all at the same time using the same shipping method. CC and Excel both arrive in 2 days, Nashbar always comes last, using 3 or 4 days after I order. Unless it's something specific I can't get elsewhere, I usually don't chose Nashbar first.

Wait until you try to get an item that's just been declared out of stock (really really cheap parts order)....after 2 or 3 weeks give up and go somewhere else.

if perf or nasbar have an item out of stock; don't bother ordering. That in addition to their shipping sucking.

My thoughts exactly! I've been waiting on an in stock helmet from Performace for 14 days now.

I wish I would have know this sooner... however, the .99cent shipping deal was hard to pass up. I ended up getting a $100 helmet for $65 after the coupon and shipping discount :D

Have you tried having it shipped to your job (business). For some reason I get my order faster (3 days) then having it shipped to my home address. Also, check the prices on the internet right before you order. They will not tell you if the price is lower on the internet then the catalog. Tricky.

I haven't had a problem with delivery time, but for some reason thet made an arbitary decision to send me different tires than the ones I ordered after discovering they were out of stock. I ordered 700x23 Michelin blue/black road tires on the net, which were apparently in stock when I made trhe order and what arrived was 700x25 black/black. Now I have to go to the trouble of sending thrm back for a refund. Dumn!

Haven't had a problem with Nashbar. They've always shipped quick and its easy to track the order...but then I live in Hawaii so the only choice I have for shipping is 2nd Day Fedex plus an extra $10-$12 on top of the Fedex costs.

"normal" Nashbar shiiping is slower than slow! In the past year I've noticed that anything shipped this method take at least 7 days to arrive.

My brother who lives in Dayton OH put in a huge order with them and it took over a week and it was coming out of Cleveland!!!!!

The only time I buy from them now is if I have the $$ to upgrade shipping.
