I'm taking a week of leave for a cycle trip in Scotland; I sort of have my plan in mind, but wondered if anyone knew some great road/mtb routes up there as well.
I'm bringing my mtb for some riding at Tweed Valley Forest Park (http://www.7stanes.gov.uk/forestry/achs-5rnfvj), which I've never been to, then I'm driving north to ride the Applecross Peninsula west of Inverness (http://www.edinburgh-bicycle.co.uk/routes/route_applecross.html), which I did last year and loved (see pics).
Any suggestions to add onto my route?
------------
Photo guide:
1) "Bealach Na Ba", or "Pass of the Cattle", is a windy road climbing 2053 ft.
2) Miles of road along the coast. Breath-taking.
3) Town of Shieldaig
