Over existing (faux) cork tape? Or just on its own? I do three to four hours rides three to four days a week, and I'm not sure how comfy my bars will be with just the cellotape. Anyone care to chime in? Thanks - S

I've done it both ways. Plain cello is pretty hard on the hands if you don't wear padded gloves. If you want a retro look, go with padded vinyl tape. It has a retro look and is much more comfortable on the hands

In the true spirit of the 1980's, you must use your Benotto tape unpadded. Bang your palms to mush! Slip and slide on the slick surface. Watch the tape perpetually unravel, creating an unholy mess!
