Boulder, CO - September 12, 2005 With its sales in North America on the rise, Hutchinson Tires has opened a new warehouse in Trenton, New Jersey. The choice of the location was no accident as Hutchinson has existing industrial facilities located in Trenton producing various rubber and automotive goods.
While Hutchinson Tires North America has created a stand alone warehouse and hired a dedicated staff, it will make use of the existing infrastructure at Hutchinson for general accounting, computing and human resource support.
Citing a need to respond more rapidly to sales demands and improve customer service, Hutchinson Tires North American Manager Adam Micklin said "In the past it has been necessary for our customers to anticipate their tire needs by a few weeks if not months. We are now able to ship smaller orders more rapidly and offer comprehensive customer support to both our dealers and consumers".
The new warehouse which is receiving large shipments of tires from Hutchinson's bicycle tire factory in Montargis, France, will redistribute the product to its extensive list of North American distributors and OEM customers. "We have a great staff and an ideal location. Everything is falling in line and we are already beginning to see the results of a facility that is focused on improving our customer service and meeting our growing sales goals" added Micklin.
Hutchinson Worldwide staff members as well as Eric VanHaverbeke, Director of Marketing and Communication at Hutchinson Tires headquarters in France, were on hand earlier this year to attend an open house luncheon and ceremonial ribbon cutting celebrating the opening of the new warehouse which received extensive coverage in regional television and print media.
