Apparently some of us (or was it none of us?) couldn't open RBR today... What happened?

There was a server failure in our data center today, causing the site outage, and several other system problems.

It's back online now (obviously) and things should be stable now.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yeah, I though the same thing..(about going through the WORK proxy!)
Hmmm, Guess I have been looking at the Podium Girls a little too much this week :)

Neither roadbikereview or mtbr were getting dns resolution earlier today.

-------------------
DNS Lookup: roadbikereview.com A record
Generated by www.DNSstuff.com
How I am searching:

Searching for roadbikereview.com A record at j.root-servers.net [192.58.128.30]: Got referral to M.GTLD-SERVERS.NET. [took 90 ms]
Searching for roadbikereview.com A record at M.GTLD-SERVERS.NET. [192.55.83.30]: Got referral to prime.getorder.com. [took 280 ms]
Searching for roadbikereview.com A record at prime.getorder.com. [64.75.8.156]: Reports roadbikereview.com. [took 80 ms]

earlier today neither:

prime.getorder.com or diamond.getorder.com resolved or/and returned a ping.

now only 'prime' does, and I am getting timeouts every 4/5th ping..
But RBR's server pings fine!

Sorry for the geek blast, I was bored at work!

I thought it was rather funny that when I finally got in the site there were hardly any commotion or mention of this rather serious occurance... everyone was just at it like nothing ever happened... I thought " ummm.. maybe it was just some of us...." but no, RBR was shut down for a good potion of the day.

Dya think perhaps it was just too darn disturbing that no one wanted to talk about it and just pretended that nothing ever happened...?
