Ridden both, like both, basically same spec except for wheels and other branded parts. I have 30 days till purchase time. What are some of you guys and gals thoughts? Specifically, the way the top tube connects with the seatstays and seat tube. It just looks funky. Can't comment on the ride though - as I haven't ridden it. However, I have ridden the Madone 5.2. Ordered one a couple months ago... *still waiting impatiently. 2Slo4U 10-02-2005, 06:53 PM both are great bikes. I would recommend riding both of them and seeing which one YOU like the best. Unlike "Antonelli," I think the Tarmac is one of the sexiest bikes out right now. That's probably why I have one! But if the specialized feels good to you and fits you right then you really cant go wrong with it! Cejay 10-04-2005, 09:39 AM I too have riden and loved the feel of the Scott CR1 Team issue but I am wary of their lack of replaceable rear derailer hanger and their limited two year warrenty. As far as looks go, I too don't like the look of the Specialized. It reminds me of the old Schwinns that look like they had a gas tank. Having said that, I have ridden one and it was awsome. It made me want to go fast. The Trek looks way better in my opinion, but I've not ridden one. |
