The LX hubs on my beater bike need replacement. I am looking to do it on the cheap. I would like to replace just the hubs, and use everything else. My question, are all hub flange sizes the same. I would like to re-use the spokes along with the rims.

No, but a similar year Shimano MTB hub probably would be. - TF

EDIT: What model number?

You have a low flange (aka small flange) hub, IIRC. Any other low flange hub will be a direct swap.
