I read in the Italian La Gazetta dello Sport today here in Italy that OLN has signed a deal with the Italian network RAI to carry the 2006 Giro, Milan-San Remo and Tour of Lombardy.
Some good news for you back home....

If this means daily coverage, it's great news. I'm afraid it might be an agreement that allows OLN to run an hour long weekly recap though. Maybe I'm too pessimistic with regard to OLN's bicycling committment.

Good that we'll be watching MSR and Tour of Lombardy next year though. I don't think Lombardy has ever had US coverage.

i actually found the coverage on RAI itself a lot more enjoyable! each day's post-stage wrap up show with the various riders, comic singing and dancing, all in italian - fantastico.
still, more coverage is always good. M-SR and lombardia would be nice. :D

They have listed Lombardia every year when they put out their cycling schedule and have never shown it. As far as I know their current agreement with RCS includes all those races as well and that didn't make any difference to what was shown this year.
