I just bought a bike from a friend and it has Kestrel EMS Pro carbon bars that are slightly too wide (46cm outside to outside). I really prefer 44cm bars and was wondering if anyone has experience with other carbon bars that are strong/stiff enough for a big guy. I'm about 6'2", 190lbs.
I test rode the FSA K-Force bars and thought the flat-top felt really ergo. Do any other big riders have these? What are your thoughts?

I've actually been looking to buy a set of those bars in a 46cm width. Let me know if you'd like to sell them. You could use the money for some 44cm bars!

I have the kforce bars and I am 25 pounds heavier than you. I have done three races on them including some epic climbing. I like them, the positioning took some trial and error to get right, but they are very comfortable and stable. The cable installation is a bear. If you buy a set, replace your cable and housing at the same time, especially if you are riding campy. Give yourself some time and don't do it the night before a big ride. I also have the FSA OS115 stem, very cool.
